Service providers and mobile operators can now cover the full access domain on a single device with 'pay as you grow' licensing

MANSFIELD, Massachusetts, November 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

Telco Systems, the leading provider of innovative SDN & NFV, multi-service Carrier Ethernet 2.0 and MPLS edge solutions, today announced the introduction of the IP-PLUS downloadable Layer 3 software package for its Carrier Ethernet portfolio at GEN15 in Dallas, Texas on November 16 - 19, Booth 312.

The new Telco Systems' L2 plus L3 offering joins just a handful of high-end devices that cover the full access domain. IP-PLUS is an industry leading solution enabling two-in-one functionality via a downloadable software package, with the option to purchase with 'pay as you grow' on-demand licensing.

IP-PLUS further expands the best-of-breed full carrier-grade capabilities of Telco Systems' T-Marc and T-Metro devices, adding essential capabilities including HQoS, advanced resiliency, SLA monitoring and full MEF 2.0 support. As a single-box solution that transforms Telco Systems devices into both L2 NIDs and L3 routers, IP-PLUS software dramatically reduces CAPEX, installation costs and OPEX.

For service providers, the IP-PLUS enhancement package is a disruptive and cost-effective solution for scaling up business services by offering IP/MPLS L3VPN and dedicated internet access (DIA) through a simple software download. IP-PLUS enables service providers to enjoy returns on expanded services, without investing in costly deployment, integration and management of dedicated physical routers and switches.

In addition, mobile operators can use IP-PLUS enhancement package for cell site router deployments, while taking advantage of full T-Marc family capabilities like end-to-end synchronization, advanced OAM and HQoS for LTE traffic.

Extensive, advanced L3 features provided by the IP-PLUS package include BGP, VRF, IP/MPLS L3VPN, VRRP and DHCP.

"We can't wait to demonstrate how each of our established and trusted products can be easily enhanced to become a two-in-one device that can have a dramatic impact on service provider offerings by deploying the IP-PLUS software package.  The 'pay as you grow' purchase model allows our customers to activate additional L3 services only as needed," said Moshe Shimon, VP Product Management & Marketing at Telco Systems.

Telco Systems is shortlisted for the GEN15 MEF Excellence Award in the Third Network Technology Solutions category, which recognizes leadership in CE 2.0, Third Network, LSO, NFV-based Virtual CPE and multi-vendor technology solutions. In addition, Rami Yaron, VP of Strategy & Business Development for Telco Systems and Co-Chair of the MEF Global Marketing Committee, will receive an Outstanding Contributor Award for his dedicated service to MEF.

Schedule a demonstration to see how the IP-PLUS software package transforms Telco Systems' L2 devices into L2 and L3 devices, at booth 312 at GEN15 in Dallas, Texas, November 16 - 19.

Visitors will also be able to hear Moshe Shimon, Telco Systems' VP of Product Management and Marketing, discuss "End-to-End Service Orchestration across Physical and Virtual Network Domains" on a Service Provider Technology Track panel on Tuesday, November 17 at 16:00.
